Belagavi:Residents of Belagavi are urging the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to nominate a local candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. They believe that having someone from their own community will ensure their concerns are heard and addressed effectively at the national level.
Dr. Sachin Sabnis, a prominent figure in Belagavi and State President of Laghu Udyog Bharati-Karnataka, is among those advocating for a local candidate. He emphasized the importance of having a representative who understands the unique challenges faced by Belagavi and can effectively advocate for its interests in Parliament.
Despite being the largest district in Karnataka, Belagavi has not yet seen a candidate announced by the BJP for the Lok Sabha seat.As a resident of Belgaum, it's disheartening to hear that the BJP might consider outsiders for the MP seat. For the past 30 years, we have always voted for the BJP with hope that local would be more vocal about our needs. @AmitShah@narendramodi@jpnadda@bjp4india

This has left residents disappointed and questioning why their district has been overlooked in the candidate selection process.
The sentiment among Belagavi residents is clear: they want someone who knows their district inside out and can truly represent their needs and aspirations on the national stage. As calls for a local candidate grow louder, the BJP is under increasing pressure to listen to the voices of the people and nominate a candidate who will prioritize the interests of Belagavi.
