New Delhi :The High-Level Committee, under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has approved the Recovery and Reconstruction (R&R) plan of Rs 1658.17 crore for Joshimath. The plan aims to address the issues of land subsidence and provide relief to the affected residents of Joshimath.

Total R&R cost: Rs 1658.17 crore
Central assistance: Rs 1079.96 crore from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF)
State government contribution: Rs 578.21 crore, including Rs 91.82 crore for land acquisition for resettlement
