New Delhi:In a major push for sustainable development and energy independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.This ambitious project, backed by an investment of over Rs. 75,000 crores, aims to illuminate 1 crore households and provide them with up to 300 units of free electricity per month generated through rooftop solar panels.
Prime Minister Modi urged all residential consumers, especially youngsters to participate in the program and contribute to sustainable progress. He encouraged applications through the dedicated portal,pmsuryaghar.gov.in.
