Special Ayodhya Rama Darshan train departs from Belagavi

Belagavi:A special Ayodhya Rama Darshan train departed from Belagavi railway station on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The train will take 1333 Rama devotees from 19 districts of North Karnataka to Ayodhya.

The train will reach Ayodhya at 11 am on February 19. The devotees will have darshan of Lord Rama in Ayodhya and depart on February 20. The train will reach Belagavi on the morning of February 22.

About 200 devotees, including women, from Belagavi district are also going on the train.

Speaking on the occasion, Pujya Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Swamiji said that Lord Rama is an ideal for everyone. He said that the day of Ram Rajya is not far away. He also said that Ayodhya is not a tourist destination, but a center of devotion and ideals. He urged everyone to work for the betterment of the country.

Pujya Yatishanananda Swamiji Kagawada, Pujya Uddhavananda Swamiji, Pujya Vallabh Numani Prabhuji and ISKCON Swamiji were also present.

The train was flagged off by railway officials at 10:30 am.

Hare Rama Pantha Swamiji, Rayabhag Pujya Swamiji, Vishwa Hindu Parishad District President Shrikant Kadam, Chikkodi District President Dr. RK Bagi, Nandu Deshpande, Muniswamy Bhandari, Provincial Treasurer Krishna Bhat, District Secretary Anand Karaligannavar, Achuth Kulkarni, Vitthal Mali and others were present to see off the devotees.

About the train

The train has 13 coaches, including two AC coaches and 11 non-AC coaches. The train will be halting at major stations en route.

The cost of the pilgrimage is Rs. 5,000 per person, which includes travel, accommodation, food and darshan.

The pilgrimage is being organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
