5 Arrested in Belagavi Gang Rape Case, Including Resort Operators

Police have arrested five people in connection with the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl in Belagavi. The crime happened at a resort that was illegally set up by two men, Rohan Patil and Ashutosh Patil, who are now in jail. One of the arrested is the teenage son of a police officer, and he has been sent to a remand home.

The victim was taken to the location by a minor friend. The crime came to light when the girl returned home in pain, and her mother took her to the hospital. Doctors alerted the police, and a case was filed under the POCSO Act (law for child protection).
