Kannada Nadu, Nudi Namma Hemme PM Praises Dubai Kannadigas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his radio programme Mann Ki Baat, praised the Kannada speaking community in Dubai for their efforts to preserve the Kannada language among children living abroad.

He said that while children of Indian families overseas are excelling in English and technology, parents in Dubai raised concerns about their children forgetting Kannada. This led to the launch of Kannada Patashale, an initiative that now teaches more than 1,000 children to read, write, and speak Kannada.

PM Modi noted that Indians living outside the country also play an important role in staying connected with Bharat and preserving Indian languages. He concluded by saying, “Kannada Namma Nadu, Namma Nudi, Namma Hemme.
