CRPF Soldier Arrested for Spying for Pakistan; YouTube Influencer Also Caught in Spy Ring

India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested CRPF trooper Moti Ram Jat from Delhi for allegedly spying for Pakistan. Officials say he shared classified security details since 2023 and received secret payments through hidden channels. The court has granted the NIA custody until June 6 to question him further and track down his contacts.

In a related crackdown, Haryana YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and 11 others from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh were also arrested for working with Pakistani spies. Malhotra, who ran a YouTube channel, was in touch with a Pakistani diplomat and had visited Pakistan, China, and other countries. She was detained under India’s Official Secrets Act after being accused of aiding foreign intelligence.

These arrests come just days after India expelled a Pakistani embassy staffer for spying, showing heightened efforts to stop cross-border espionage. Investigators are now working to uncover more details about these spy networks.
