"Speak Kannada" Argument Between SBI Manager and Customer in Bengaluru

A language fight happened in an SBI bank in Chandapura, Bengaluru. A customer spoke to the bank manager in Kannada, but the manager replied only in Hindi. When the customer asked her to speak Kannada, the manager said, “I will never speak in Kannada. I will only speak in Hindi.”

A video of the incident is now viral. People on social media are angry and are asking for action. Many say RBI rules require bank staff to speak the local language.

This comes during a time when language issues are growing in Karnataka. Recently, other people and companies also faced backlash for not using Kannada. The debate between Kannada and Hindi is causing strong emotions across the state.
