This notice explains how LocalView Tech Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”),publisher of LocalView News, handles personal data. We are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.

2. Services we use
- Always on: our hosting provider, Google reCAPTCHA, which helps stop automated abuse, and the Google Analytics tag, which runs without cookies until you agree and may send Google basic details such as your IP address, device and the page visited.
- Only with your consent: Google Analytics cookies (site statistics),Tawk.to (live chat),Google Firebase (news alerts) and AddToAny (share buttons).
These providers may process data outside India. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Your consent and how to withdraw it
You choose in the privacy banner when you first visit. Change your mind at any time, as easily as you gave consent: . To withdraw consent for a contact message, use the Your Data Rights page. Withdrawing does not affect what we lawfully did before.
4. How long we keep data
- Contact messages: up to 1 year after we finish replying, unless a law requires longer.
- Data rights requests: as long as we need them to show how we handled the request.
- Server and security logs: at least 1 year, as the law requires.
We erase personal data when it is no longer needed for its purpose and no law requires us to keep it.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see a summary of your data and who it was shared with, correct, complete, update or erase it, withdraw consent, raise a grievance, and nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act. Use the Your Data Rights page. We reply within a reasonable time, and within 90 days at most. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
When you use these rights, the law expects you to give accurate information and not to file false or frivolous complaints.
6. Children
Our contact form and optional services are for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must contact us for you. We do not knowingly track children or target advertising at them. If you think we hold a child's data without consent, please tell us and we will erase it.
7. Security and data breaches
We use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires, including what happened and what you can do.
8. News reporting
Our published reports may name people where this is part of our journalism. To ask for a correction to a report, use our grievances page.
