ATM Worker Steals ₹8.65 Lakh, Belagavi Police Strike Back with ₹7.30 Lakh Recovery!

Belagavi: An ATM theft involving ₹8,65,500 from an HDFC Bank ATM located in Anjuman Building, under the jurisdiction of the Market Police Station, has been solved with the arrest of the accused. Krishna Suresh Desai (23),a worker at SIS Prosegur Holding Private Limited,and a resident of House No. 429, Jyoti Nagar, Kangrali KH, Belagavi, allegedly used the ATM combination password to steal the cash.

Investigation and Recovery:
Under the guidance of senior police officials, the Market Police Station team recovered the stolen cash and jewelry purchased with the stolen money:
 1. Cash Recovered: ₹5,74,000
 2. Gold Jewelry: 20 grams worth ₹1,56,000

A total of ₹7.30 lakh worth of cash and gold was seized.

The investigation team included PI Mahantesh Dhamannavar, PSI Mahantesh Mathapati, PSI Vittal Havannavar, PSI HL Kerur, and staff members Laxman Kadolkar, Shankar Kugatolli, IS Patil, Naveen Kumar, Shivappa Teli, Ramesh Akki, Suresh Kamble, Kartik, MB Wadayar, Mahadev Kashid, and Sanju Sangoti.

Senior officials, including the Police Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners, appreciated the efforts of the team.
