The Dalit community alleges that their land, registered under Survey Number 493 and known as “Maharaki” land, has been illegally encroached upon to construct a road connecting Jugul to Shahapur. According to the community members, this fertile land was allocated to them for agricultural purposes, and there is no record of any pre-existing road or pathway in government documents. The land is critical for their subsistence, as it is used for farming and availing financial benefits like bank loans.

This encroachment has caused significant distress among the Dalit farmers, who consider the land their sole asset. Losing this land jeopardizes their livelihoods and worsens their economic condition. The community has submitted relevant documents, including ownership records, to highlight their rightful claim over the land.

The Dalit community has demanded the removal of the illegally constructed road and the restoration of their land. They have urged the authorities to act swiftly to ensure justice. If their demands are not met, the community has warned of intensifying their protests in the coming days.
