Government Launches Major Internship Scheme for Youth in Union Budget
New Delhi: In a significant announcement during the Union Budget presentation, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced a new internship scheme aimed at empowering the youth of India. The scheme will provide one crore young people with internship opportunities in 500 of the country’s top companies.
The scheme will offer internships to one crore youth, with each intern receiving a monthly allowance of Rs 5000. Additionally, a one-time assistance of Rs 6000 will be provided to cover initial expenses such as travel and accommodation.
