Belagavi : Divine Providence is a much sought-after school for girls' education in Belgaum. The school was originally started to cater to the orphanage established in the same campus in the year 1921.
Over the years the vision expanded and the school caters to nearly 2000 students currently. The 100 glorious years are studded with numerous laurels that the school has won. The year long celebrations will conclude on December 17, 2022.
The Management, Staff, Parent- Teachers Association, Students and Alumni of Divine Providence Convent High School, Tilakwadi, Belagavi, are happy to inform that, the forerunner to the Centenary Closing Celebration is the Peace rally centered on the theme "Harmonious CO-Existence" scheduled for December 10, 2022, from 9 am to 11 am will commence from the School Campus. The Formal Concluding Ceremony with the present students will kick off on December 17, 2022 at 4.30 pm at Jirge Hall, JNMC Campus, Belagavi. The school students all geared to set the stage ablaze with their performances and innovations. Hon'ble Mrs. Justice, K. S. Hemalekha, our ex student, Judge, High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru, has consented to be the Chief Guest for the Celebration.
The Centenary Grand-Reunion of the Alumni is organized on 18th December 2022, to let the past-students re-live their nostalgic moments in the school campus.
The attraction of the day will be the various competitions organized for the Alumni, performances by the ex-students, batchwise photographs, a performance by International Classical singer - Pandit Kaivalya Kumar Gurav, Ex-Divinite, Felicitation of all the Past and Present Sisters and Teachers, followed by a Cultural Programme. The event will begin at 9am and will end at 5pm.
