Karnataka CM Extends School Holidays Till October 18 to Support Caste Survey Work
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced an extension of school holidays for all government and aided schools across the state until October 18, 2025. The decision was made to give teachers and staff time to assist in completing the ongoing Social and Educational (Caste) Survey, which is being conducted by the Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes.

The survey, which began on September 22, was initially scheduled to end on October 7 but has faced delays in several districts. To ensure the work is completed smoothly, schools will remain closed for ten more days. The government has also stated that special or extra classes will be arranged later to make up for the lost academic time.

This move aims to help the state finish the massive data collection exercise efficiently, while ensuring teachers can focus fully on the survey duties without affecting regular school activities once classes resum
