Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar Reviews Progress of Major Lake Rejuvenation Project in Belagavi

Belagavi: Karnataka’s Minister for Women and Child Development, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, recently visited Basurti in the Uchagaon region to inspect the ongoing construction of a large-scale water storage unit. The initiative is part of a government-approved project worth ₹2.39 crore aimed at rejuvenating 20 lakes in the Santibastawad and Uchagaon areas of Belagavi Rural constituency.

During her visit, Minister Hebbalkar emphasized the significance of this ambitious project, stating that it has been undertaken to benefit farmers in Santibastawad, Uchagaon, and surrounding villages. She noted that the project will ensure water supply to farmlands, thereby strengthening the agricultural economy and supporting rural livelihoods.
