Sensational Robbery-Murder in Belagavi: Woman Strangled, Jewellery Stolen

Belagavi: A shocking incident occurred in Lakshmi Nagar, Ganeshpur, where a woman was murdered inside her apartment in a suspected robbery. The deceased has been identified as Anjana Ajit Daddikar, aged 49.

According to police sources, the intruders allegedly entered the apartment, snatched Anjana’s mangalsutra, earrings, and gold ring, and strangled her. Only Anjana and her husband lived in the flat. The incident came to light when her husband, Ajit Daddikar an auto driver by profession returned home on Tuesday evening and found her unconscious.

Anjana was rushed to a hospital in Belagavi, where she was declared dead. The family has alleged that the motive behind the murder was theft of her jewellery.

Forensic Science Laboratory officials visited the spot and collected evidence. A case has been registered at the Camp Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.
