Belagavi: Congress Plans Massive Protest Against Price Hike

Belagavi:A meeting was held at the Congress office in Belagavi where several leaders including Satish Jarkiholi and Laxmi Hebbalkar addressed the press.

Satish Jarkiholi strongly criticized the central government over the rising prices of essential goods. He said the BJP is responsible for the price hike and added that a massive strike will be held in Belagavi, similar to the one in Bengaluru. The strike is expected to take place on April 27 or 28, and senior Congress leaders including the General Secretary will be present.

Laxmi Hebbalkar also spoke and said the strike is part of the “Sanvidhan Bachao” (Save the Constitution) campaign. The protest will be held at CPD Ground, and leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge and Randeep Surjewala may attend.

She blamed the central government for the price hike and said the BJP is trying to hide its internal issues by diverting attention through its Jan Andolan. She also accused the central government of misusing ED, IT, and other agencies.

Hebbalkar said the Congress introduced the guarantee schemes to help people, and the current price hikes are due to the BJP’s policies, not Congress.
