Belagavi: Jarkiholi Hits Out at BJP Ahead of Congress Event

Belagavi is gearing up for a major Congress event today, where top leaders including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge are expected to participate.

Ahead of the event, Minister Satish Jarkiholi addressed the media and came down heavily on the BJP. He alleged that the BJP cannot digest the criticism coming from Congress leaders and might try to target Siddaramaiah, Shivakumar, and Kharge.

Speaking about the price rise, Jarkiholi said the hike in essential commodities is not because of the state government but is a result of the BJP-led central government's policies. "The Karnataka government is doing its best to lessen the burden on the people. We have reduced charges on transport, petrol cess, and other areas," he said.

Today's Congress event in Belagavi is likely to see strong attacks against the Centre, with leaders highlighting issues like price rise, unemployment, and misuse of agencies by the central government.
