Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Ghosts Us, While Pune-Hubballi Gets a Joyride!

Belagavi: Even recently, Vande Bharat Express en route from Bengaluru to Belagavi had to be terminated due to some architectural barriers. But the recent revelation of the Pune Belagavi Vande Bharat train extended up to Hubballi has confused the public as well as raised concerns.

Public Questions: There is then a fundamental question that citizens are posing in this regard. If the Bengaluru-Belagavi train service itself has issues with the route or something of that nature why then is there a plan to extend the Pune-Belagavi rail to Hubballi?

This article shows that technical problems were the main cause of suspension of the Bengaluru- Belagavi though the reason for extending the Pune train service up to Hubballi is not clear.

Public Dissatisfaction:

The decision has been more often criticised by people of Belagavi and many other cities claiming deep level dissatisfaction. Such people express their doubts on the possibility of expanding this service from Pune while as they argue that the Bengaluru–Belagavi service has been removed.

Call for Reconsideration: People are also pressuring the government for the reversal as they point out that there is need to increase rail connectivity to Belagavi. As there is a hype for the Vande Bharat trains now people feel Belagavi also should get more convenient routes and better connectivity.
