Bhartesh Medical Students and Ex-Mayor Vijay More Lead Dengue Awareness and Vaccination Drive
Belagavi:In a significant community health initiative, Bhartesh Medical College students collaborated with Ex-Mayor Vijay More to administer dengue vaccinations and raise awareness about the disease. The event was held at Shantai Vrudhhashram and Ushathai Gogate School, benefiting both the elderly and the youth.
At Shantai Vrudhhashram, medical students provided dengue prophylactic drops to the grandparents residing there. Ex-Mayor Vijay More, a key speaker at the event, explained the causes of dengue, emphasizing the importance of preventive measures such as maintaining cleanliness and avoiding stagnant water where mosquitoes breed.
Following this, Allan Vijay More, along with Bhartesh Medical College students, conducted a vaccination drive at Ushathai Gogate School. Nearly 500 students and staff members received dengue vaccinations. During this session, the medical students and Allan Vijay More educated the attendees on the necessity of keeping their surroundings clean to prevent mosquito breeding and the spread of dengue.
Principal Nayna, along with teachers, staff, and Bhartesh students, actively participated in the event, underscoring the community's commitment to fighting dengue. The drive not only provided essential vaccinations but also instilled a sense of responsibility and awareness among the students and staff, ensuring long-term benefits for the community's health.
