BJP MLAs and MPs from Bengaluru Meet CM Seeking ₹100 Crore Budget Grant

Bengaluru:In the upcoming state budget, BJP legislators urged the CM to provide additional funds for basic infrastructure improvements in their constituencies. Given that Bengaluru contributes a significant portion of the state's revenue, they requested a special focus on their areas with higher financial support.

The delegation specifically sought funds for roads, parks, and other essential infrastructure projects, collectively demanding a ₹100 crore grant for the overall development of Bengaluru and their constituencies.

Additionally, the leaders pressed for a reduction in metro fares. In response, the CM assured them that the government has already written to the Centre and metro authorities, urging them to roll back the unscientific fare hike. He stated that discussions would be held with officials to explore a possible reduction in metro ticket prices while ensuring public convenience.

The delegation included Leader of Opposition R. Ashoka, BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra, along with several BJP MLAs and MPs from Bengaluru.
