Congress President Kharge Urges PM Modi to Convene Special Parliament Session Over Pahalgam Attack

New Delhi:Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting the immediate convening of a special session of both Houses of Parliament in response to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack.

In his letter, Kharge emphasized that holding a special session would send a strong and united message, demonstrating the nation’s collective grief and firm resolve to confront such acts of terror. He highlighted that innocent Indian citizens were targeted and killed, and that the gravity of the situation demands a united stand from all political parties and leaders.

The entire nation is in mourning. A special session will reflect our solidarity with the victims and our commitment to stand united against terrorism, Kharge stated.

The Congress party has called for an urgent and firm response, stressing that the attack is not just an assault on individuals, but on the very spirit of India.
