D.K. Shivakumar Asserts Belagavi as Congress's Focal Point for Karnataka Elections

Promising to prioritize the city's development, Shivakumar reiterated Congress's commitment to fulfilling all its electoral guarantees. Asserting confidence in Congress's prospects, Shivakumar pledged to secure victory in the elections, vowing to exceed expectations by delivering on promises made to the people of Karnataka. 

He launched scathing criticisms against both the JD(S) and BJP, accusing them of failing the state. Questioning the BJP's legitimacy to seek votes, Shivakumar highlighted what he perceived as the party's shortcomings and alleged appropriation of Congress's promises. He also condemned the BJP-led government's handling of various issues, including its failure to facilitate the return of late minister Suresh Angadi's body to his hometown of Belagavi. 

 Addressing concerns for women's safety, Shivakumar affirmed Congress's commitment to protecting women's rights and safety. He lauded Karnataka as a model state, suggesting that its governance was being closely watched across India. Shivakumar's remarks underscored the competitive landscape of Karnataka's political arena, with Congress positioning itself as a formidable contender, particularly in Belagavi.

With an ambitious target of securing over 20 seats in Karnataka, Congress, under Shivakumar's leadership, appears determined to sway voters with its promises and vision for the state's future.
