DRDO Unveils Light Tank 'Zorawar': A Major Milestone for India's Defense
Gujarat:The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has revealed its new light tank, 'Zorawar', in Hazira. DRDO chief Dr. Samir V Kamath attended the event and expressed his pride in this achievement.
Dr. Kamath said, It's indeed a momentous day for all of us to see the light tank in action. It makes me happy and proud. In a short period of two years to two and a half years, we have not only designed this tank but made a first prototype. Now, the first prototype will undergo development trials over the next six months, and then we will be ready to offer it to our users for user trials.
The tank is named after the legendary Zorawar Singh Kahluria. The prototype will go through rigorous trials for the next six months, after which it will be presented for user trials.
