Fire Breaks Out Near Petrol Pump in Belagavi Village, Major Disaster Avoided

Belagavi: A fire broke out in a sugarcane field near a petrol pump in Udikeri village, located in Bailhongal taluk, Belagavi district, causing panic among the residents.

The fire started when an electric wire fell onto the sugarcane field, destroying nearly 14 acres of crops.

As the fire spread close to the petrol pump, villagers hurried to extinguish it using buckets and pots of water.

The fire department later arrived and managed to control the blaze, preventing any damage to the petrol pump or nearby properties.

Dodawad police visited the site to inspect the situation. This incident highlights the importance of safety measures in such areas.
