Ghaziabad : In a groundbreaking development, the Indian Air Force (IAF) officially welcomed the Airbus C295, a next-generation tactical transport aircraft, into its fleet. The induction ceremony, presided over by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at the Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad, marked a transformative moment for India's defense capabilities.

The Airbus C295 represents a paradigm shift in the IAF's operational flexibility. Tailored for a myriad of missions, it boasts the ability to carry troops and cargo, conduct maritime patrols, surveillance and reconnaissance, signals intelligence, armed close air support, medical evacuations, VIP transport, and even aerial firefighting. This versatility positions the IAF to tackle a wide range of scenarios, from security challenges to humanitarian crises.
Impressive Payload and Troop Capacity:
The C295 can transport payloads of up to nine tonnes or accommodate up to 71 troops, ensuring that it can handle diverse mission requirements with ease. This remarkable capacity enables swift troop deployment, logistic support, and rapid humanitarian response.
