New Delhi:India's Health Ministry is carefully watching as China faces H9N2 cases and respiratory sickness among kids in the northern region. The ministry says there's a small chance these issues will affect India.

A meeting led by the Director-General of Health Services discussed getting ready for potential Avian Influenza cases in India, based on a human H9N2 case reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) in China last October. WHO says the risk of spreading between people and the chances of severe cases are low.

Reports talked about kids in China getting sick, but WHO didn't find anything unusual causing it. They think it's regular reasons for breathing problems.
India says it's ready for any problems from these situations. They're taking a "One Health" approach, improving the country's health setup, especially after dealing with COVID. They launched the PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission to make health systems better at different care levels.
Since 2014, India has seen a big increase in medical colleges and seats for MBBS courses, adding more healthcare workers.
The Health Ministry promises to keep an eye out and be ready to handle any issues that might pop up, both at home and worldwide.
