Karnataka Govt Plans 10 Grace Marks, 25% Attendance Concession for Sports Students

Bengaluru:Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that the state government is considering a proposal to provide 25% attendance concession and 10 grace marks to students actively participating in sports across all educational institutions.

The announcement was made during the inauguration of the third edition of the Karnataka Mini Olympics at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. Dr. K. Govindaraju, President of the Karnataka Olympic Association, had put forth the suggestion to grant grace marks to student-athletes, to which the Chief Minister responded positively, stating that the government would explore its feasibility.

This initiative aims to encourage sports participation among students and support those balancing academics with athletics. The government will hold discussions with officials and experts to finalize the proposal.
