
Karnataka Unveils New Industrial Policy to Expand Beyond Bengaluru
Bengaluru:In light of Bengaluru’s rapidly increasing population, the government has decided to prioritize the establishment of industries outside the capital city. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar revealed that a new industrial policy will be introduced during the upcoming Invest Karnataka 2025 summit.

Speaking to reporters on Monday after assessing the preparations for the global investors’ meet at Palace Grounds, Shivakumar stressed the importance of reducing congestion in Bengaluru.The city’s population has now reached 1.40 crore, with more than 1.10 crore vehicles on its roads. It’s crucial to alleviate the strain on Bengaluru and curb further migration. We urge investors to consider setting up industries in other parts of Karnataka to promote balanced regional development, he said.

Shivakumar also mentioned that Industries Minister M.B. Patil and his team have developed a comprehensive new industrial policy, which will be officially launched by the Chief Minister during the summit.This policy will serve as a model for the entire country,he confidently stated.
