Under the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme, scholarships are awarded to talented students from economically weaker sections to prevent drop out in the classroom.  Encourages students to further their education.

One lakh new scholarships are awarded every year to selected students from class 9 and to students studying in state government, government-aided and local body schools for their continuation or renewal in classes 10 to 12.
 The scholarship amount is Rs.  12000/- per annum will be given.

 National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) is implemented in National Scholarship Portal (NSP). NMMSS Scholarship is disbursed directly to selected students' bank accounts through electronic transfer through Public Financial Management System (PFMS) following DBT mode.  It is a 100% centrally sponsored scheme.

 Parental income  not exceeding  Rs. 3,50,000/- per annum  from all sources ,Such Students are eligible for the scholarship.  Students should have minimum 55% marks in 7th standard examination or equivalent grade (relaxation of 5% for SC/ST students) to appear in selection test for scholarship.

There are two levels of verification, L1 is Organization Nodal Officer (INO) level and L2 is District Nodal Officer (DNO) level.  The last date for INO level (L1) verification is 15th November, 2022 and for DNO level (L2) verification is 30th November, 2022.
