
Laxmi Hebbalkar Reviews Anganwadi Promotions, Stresses on Child Welfare Measures
Bengaluru:Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar held a high-level meeting with department officials to address key concerns of Anganwadi workers and assistants. A central focus of the discussion was the proposal to promote eligible staff to the role of Women Supervisors.

Hebbalkar underlined the crucial contribution of Anganwadi workers in delivering services at the grassroots and called for expedited action on pending promotions. She instructed the department to prioritize the process and ensure fairness in implementation.

The meeting also covered child welfare issues, with special attention to tackling malnutrition and strengthening early childhood development programs across the state.
Officials have been asked to prepare a detailed action plan, with policy decisions expected to follow soon based on the meeting’s outcome.
