Meta & Digital Nagarik: Digital Safety Revolution for Teachers & Students

Bengaluru: In partnership with Meta, the Digital Nagarik program has been launched to improve digital safety and AR-VR skills among teachers and students. This program will train over 1 lakh teachers and 10 lakh students, giving them the knowledge they need to stay safe online.
The program not only teaches basic online safety practices like creating strong passwords and recognising phishing scams but also aims to make students more aware and responsible online, helping them protect themselves from new online threats.
Digital Nagarik is about more than education; it's about empowerment said IT Minister Kharge. This initiative will give our students the important skills they need to stay safe online and use advanced technologies like AR and VR.
The launch of Digital Nagarik is a big step towards a safer digital future, promoting digital literacy and security awareness among young people.
