Modi Will Name Amit Shah as Successor, Says Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sparked discussion about the Bharatiya Janata Party's leadership succession. Kejriwal's comments come as Prime Minister Narendra Modi approaches his 75th birthday on September 17th, prompting speculation about his retirement and who might succeed him.

Kejriwal noted BJP's rule that leaders retire after turning 75, citing examples like LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sumitra Mahajan, and Yashwant Sinha. He suggested that if BJP wins the next election, current Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath could be replaced by Amit Shah as Prime Minister.

Kejriwal also implied that Modi is promoting Shah as his successor, raising questions about BJP's internal plans for leadership transition. As India gears up for the next general elections, Kejriwal's remarks add fuel to the speculation surrounding BJP's future leadership.
