New Delhi : In response to the recent controversy surrounding Udhayanidhi Stalin's "Sanatan Dharma" remark, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has weighed in on the matter. During an informal discussion within the Cabinet, PM Modi stressed the importance of providing a well-informed and thoughtful response to the ongoing Sanatan Dharma debate. He encouraged ministers to educate themselves on the topic and present factual information to address concerns raised by opposition leaders regarding Sanatan Dharma.

PM Modi also cautioned against allowing the Sanatan Dharma issue to be overshadowed by the controversy surrounding the name change from India to Bharat. He advised ministers to refrain from making statements on the Bharat-India name change dispute and recommended that they download the G-20 app to enhance their interactions with foreign delegates ahead of the Summit.

Furthermore, the BJP has directed criticism towards the opposition alliance INDIA regarding this matter. Amit Malviya, the head of the party's IT department, asserted that Udhayanidhi Stalin's comment could be interpreted as a call for the "extermination" of the 80 percent of the population that practices Sanatana Dharma.
