PM to launch new Grievance Management System portal of CVC

Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a program marking Central Awareness Week (CVC) on November 3 at 11 am at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

On this occasion the Prime Minister will launch CVC's new Grievance Management System portal.  The portal is designed to provide citizens with up-to-date information about the status of their complaints.

What is Central Vigilance Commission (CVC)?

Central Vigilance Commission was established by the Government of India on February 11, 1964 on the recommendations of the Anti-Corruption Committee chaired by K. Santhanam.
 
Central Vigilance Commission was set up with the objective of monitoring the vigilance regime of the institutions which extended the executive powers of the Government of India.  It was conceptualized as an apex integrity institution with complete independence and autonomy in its functioning.

In September 1997, the central government constituted an independent review committee to suggest measures to strengthen anti-corruption activities.
