Topannavar Slams Leaders, Issues 10-Day Ultimatum for Action on Land Dispute

Belagavi: In a recent development, Rajiv Topannavar has raised serious allegations against BJP leaders and officials for their role in a land dispute involving a ₹20 crore road construction project in Belagavi. However, The road, which was allegedly built on common people’s land due to political influence, has sparked controversy and calls for accountability.

Topannavar has demanded strict action from the District Commissioner (DC) of Belagavi, giving a 10-day ultimatum to investigate and hold responsible the officers and political leaders involved in approving the construction. According to him, the No Objection Certificates (NOCs) issued were done improperly, allowing the encroachment of public land.

We will not allow the Belagavi Smart City or the City Corporation to pay any fines for this mistake. Interestingly, It’s the political leaders and officers who must bear the consequences and face legal action, Topannavar stated. He further announced that a formal complaint against the officials and political leaders involved would be filed with the DC, escalating the issue to the state government, including the Chief Minister.
