Hebbalkar's impassioned speech not only targeted Revanna but also lambasted the silence of key political figures, including Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Hebbalkar did not mince her words, expressing anger and dismay over the alleged exploitation of women by Revanna, which she claimed had caused immense suffering to over 100 victims.
She emphasized the importance of not sensationalizing or sharing videos of the victims on social media, urging responsible behavior from all individuals. The Karnataka politician did not stop at condemning Revanna alone; she also directed her ire towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership, accusing them of turning a blind eye to the issue for political gains.
Hebbalkar singled out Home Minister Amit Shah for his alleged knowledge of the Revanna case prior to the elections, accusing him of complicity by maintaining silence.
Furthermore, Hebbalkar questioned the silence of BJP leaders, including former Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar, and criticized their lack of action or condemnation regarding the Revanna case. She highlighted an incident where BJP leaders reportedly mocked her, indicating a lack of seriousness towards the matter.
Taking aim at Prime Minister Modi, Hebbalkar demanded accountability, asking why the BJP's slogan of "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" seemed hollow in the face of such incidents. She called upon Modi to break his silence and address the issue directly, urging him to take a stand for justice. Hebbalkar declared that the case would be handed over to the appropriate authorities to ensure that justice is served for the victims.
Her impassioned plea for action against Revanna and accountability from political leaders resonated strongly, signaling a fervent call for justice and accountability in the state of Karnataka.
