Bangalore : On the auspicious occasion of Dasara, the Karnataka state government has presented a noteworthy gift to its employees by announcing a substantial increase in dearness allowance (DA). Effective from July 1, the DA will see a significant rise of 3.75 percent, offering financial relief to the state's government workforce.

This increment elevates the gratuity allowance for government employees to an admirable 38.75 percent, demonstrating the government's appreciation for the hard work and dedication of its employees.

In a move to improve the financial stability of teaching staff in UGC/AICTE/ICAR pay scales and judicial officers in NJPC pay scales, the government has enhanced their minimum allowance by an impressive 4 percent, revising it to 46 percent. This revision in minimum allowance reinforces the government's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for educators and legal professionals.
However, it's important to note that these adjustments will result in an additional annual expenditure of 1109 crore for the state government. This substantial financial commitment emphasizes the government's dedication to its employees' financial well-being and serves as a fitting Dasara gift to the state's workforce.
