Belagavi : The winter session of the Legislature will be held from dec 19 for 10 days, during which necessary preparations should be made to manage all the arrangements including accommodation, food, transport, medical etc.
DC spoke while presiding over the preparatory meeting of various committees held on Wednesday (November 23) in the hall of the District Collector's office.
Care should be taken not to cause any inconvenience to the ministers, MLAs, dignitaries, senior officials and staff arriving for the session. Better arrangements should be made like last time.
District Collector Nitesh Patil said preparations should be made to provide food, accommodation, drinking water, transport and emergency health facilities as there is still plenty of time.
Apart from this, cleanliness of the city should be prioritized.He said that proper preparations should be made so that the public is not disturbed.
Measures for security of dignitaries, smooth traffic:
Belagavi City Police Commissioner Dr. M. B. Boralingaiah said that the security of dignitaries, smooth traffic and parking system will be done adequately.
All types of housing systems including government and private in the city have been inspected.Dr. Rudresh Ghali, commissioner of the corporation who is also the chairman of the housing committee said that they will be used based on the need.
Additional regional commissioner Geeta Kaulagi, chairman of the food committee, said that food arrangements are being made at various places including the Suvarna Soudha banquet hall, ground floor, and appropriate preparations are being made in this regard.
To facilitate the provision of emergency medical facilities, a team will be deployed under the leadership of skilled doctors everywhere including Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, tourist temple, VTU, hostels. Apart from this, the district health and family welfare officer Dr. Mahesh Koni explained that an ambulance will also be arranged.
District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Darshan, District Superintendent of Police Dr. Sanjiv Patil, Smart City Managing Director Dr. Praveen Bagewadi, Deputy Commissioners of Police Ravindra Gadadi, Nandagavi and others were present.
Chairman of Food, Transport, Housing, Health, Grievance Management Committee, Health, Public Works Department, Police, Municipal Corporation, Food and Civil Supplies, Transport Department officials of various departments participated in the meeting.
