Demand for reservation by  Kuruba society

Belagavi : Vinayak Kattikara, the leader of Halumata Samaj, demanded reservation for Halumat samaj.

He addressed a press conference called in the city on Tuesday.  It is welcome that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai recently increased the reservation for SC and ST communities.  But the pastoral society has been in ST since the time of the British.  But the government has not made an official announcement. He said  if ST reservation is not given to us immediately, fierce struggle will be waged.
 Shankar Hegde, Maruthi Modi, Manohar Meesale Krishna Kalaburagi and others were present.
