Winter Session in Belagavi: Focus on Kittur Karnataka’s Development

Belagavi:The upcoming winter session at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, Belagavi, from December 9, will prioritize the development of the Kittur Karnataka region. Legislative Council Speaker Basavaraj Horatti announced that special discussions on UKP, Mahadayi river disputes, farmers’ issues, and sugarcane growers’ grievances will take center stage.

A total of 1,397 questions, including 150 starred and 81 special notices, will be addressed. Steps to raise awareness on child protection and improve legislators’ attendance have also been planned. With a ₹20 crore budget allocated, proposals for a legislators’ residential complex are under review.

The government is committed to making this session productive, ensuring constructive debates on regional progress.
